Why I Created Trace’s Oats
A story of trial, error, and the perfect bowl.
I’ve been the oatmeal guy for 5 years now.
I love it, but here’s the thing about oatmeal:
if you don’t make it right, it can be a bowl of soggy, bland mess. And if you grab something premade off the shelf? You’re usually choosing between junk ingredients masked with sugar or a cardboard-like “healthy” option.
It felt like a lose-lose.
When I started, I thought, How hard can this be?
Spoiler: It was very hard.
The first version? High-protein microwavable oatmeal that tasted like wet sand mixed with protein powder.
Friends and family didn’t hold back:
-
“It’s too sweet.”
-
“The texture’s off.”
-
“Yeah… I wouldn’t eat this again.”
After 40+ tries per flavor, I finally found the sweet spot—something that tasted good and delivered on nutrition.
While recipe testing I wanted the product to meet these requirements:
-
No added sugar - Naturally sweetened to give you great flavor without the crashes.
-
High protein - Enough to fuel you through a workout or morning meetings.
-
Flavor - Something you actually crave.
It was a grind. But the day my friends said, “I’d eat this every day,” I knew we had something special.
Why It Matters
For years, I struggled with seeing food as “good” or “bad.” I chased extremes instead of balance, and I paid the price - mentally and physically.
That’s why Trace’s Oats exists.
Because food isn’t just fuel. It’s a way to care for yourself, to feel good, and to enjoy the process - without sacrificing your health or your time.
Here’s what’s in every serving:
-
15g protein to keep you full and energized.
-
6-8g fiber for digestion and balance.
-
No added sugar for steady energy and natural sweetness.
It’s the oatmeal I spent years trying to find. And now, I get to share it with you.
This isn’t the finish line - it’s the starting point. I’m excited to build this alongside you, hear your feedback, and keep making oatmeal better.
Here’s to simple, honest, great-tasting fuel.
